Catching up

Two things that happened in the last week, that I don't want to forget, but am too lazy to post about for reals.

1. Wednesday Jenny offered to babysit for us (since I got a surprise night off thanks to Sarah to make up for her grand outing coming up this Sunday!!) so Keith and I could go on a date! We went to Nagoya (down by the Parks mall) and it was ok. The sushi was good, though I don't recommend the tempura'd rolls (the rice was on the outside so the batter and the rice together made the whole thing kinda mushy and it felt like a Japanese pig in a blanket!). And the hibachi was good, but not great. Honestly I don't think we will go back, we have had better sushi for cheaper at Sushi Zone, LOL! Anywho, next I really, really want to go to Chuck E. Cheese (so we could spend our tokens on ticket games to win PRIZES! woot!), but Keith said that was totally lame, and I agreed. So, instead we went to Alley Cats (beware of website sound), and spent our credits to win tickets and get prizes! LOL! I really, really love that place, the bowling alley is really nice and we had fun doing the games. We won 900 tickets, can you believe it? And I came home with a super cute cowboys bear with a little hoodie on. Yay!

2. Thursday night the Young Women in our ward had set up some babysitting at one of our friends houses so that all of us with kids could join the ward for ward temple night. It has been too long since Keith and I have gotten to go to the temple and it was so nice to know that the kids were safe and having a blast with a bunch of friends. I was prepping the kids all day that they were going to Miss Betsy's house, but then she was going to have to leave and they would be there with Miss Noelle. I was pretty worried with how they were acting during the day, that they would have issues with drop off. HAHAHAHAHA HA ha. No. We opened the door, they scampered off, and they didn't even look back, or come give me a hug and kiss goodbye! :( But, they had a great time and were POOPED beyond pooped when we picked them up (at 10 o'clock no less!) and it was great for all of us to get some special time that night!

I like a busy week. When I don't work I like to cram it all in and make the most of my time off (though I work all this weekend). I've been kinda feeling ho hum about blogging, but I think it is just because my "To Do" list is getting so long! Thank goodness it is Saturday, I can make some progress on that dang thing!

it's so nice to get a date night every now and then. It's been a while since dave and I have had one. I haven't been to the temple ina ges either, probably should get my butt back in there soon and recharge. I'm glad the kiddos did well at the babysitters, I know what you mean about worrying how they'll behave, we had Michelle babysit on Thursday and I was worried, but of course everything went great. call Me.

I have been wanting to try sushi. Sounds like y'all had fun, Jon and I are doing date night tomorrow. Can't wait! I am going back to the temple again soon, I am beyond excited!

Oh! Sushi is so good! Well, i think for some you have to get used to it, and I never EVER get the raw fish, but i love the rolls with smoked salmon or crab, yum!

What about a california roll? I heard those were good. I wanna try sushi but Jon would NEVER go for it.

Oh, yes California roll is good too! Avacado and crab. Philadelphia roll is Salmon and cream cheese, and then each place will have the super specialty rolls (more pricey) but soooo good, and they add all this different stuff...OK it's official, we need to get together for sushi! Now I am all drooling for it! Oh, and it is no where near as good, but my Tom Thumb has a sushi chef, and they aren't bad at all, and a good place to try it out without ahving to go to a restaurant! We sometimes get it for lunch when we can't go out, because we can eat it at home and the kids can have whatever.

Ok, let's have a sushi date. My kids have a four day weekend next weekend. They have saturday thru tuesday off, wanna set something up? Is there a kind Kelli can eat since she's pregnant?

Shannon said...

Oh that sounds fun! I think Kelli can have anthing that is cooked and isn't shellfish, so Salmon? most places also have normal food to, so you don't HAVE to eat sushi!

Ok when???? Kelli is about to bust, so time is of the essence!
