What are fat quarters?

Fat quarters are a quarter of a yard of fabric, normally 18x22 instead of a long skinny quarter of a yard, hence the "fat quarter". It is a good way to buy a bit of a fabric you love without spending a lot of money!

So they would make good throw pillows for a tired old papa to rest his head upon?

Oh yes, I could make a nice little patchwork pillow for a tired old Papa. Can you believe you are like almost 60?!?!?! I just had that thought the other day, that is CRAZY!

I remember when your Grandpa Jim was 50 and I teased him about being 1/2 century old. Doesn't seem so old now. Although, old and crazy isn't soo bad either! Life goes by very quickly my dear daughter. Enjoy it everyday. Love. Dad

You know I totally think that after a certain age you are only as old as you feel inside, b/c I look at some people my age and I can't believe how little (or how much) some have done with their lives! When I feel like I have done quite a bit for only being 25, and you Dad have done amazing things in your your 58.5 years! Age is all relevant! I should blog about that! I do try and enjoy every minute, it is hard sometimes though!
