I heart bargain buys!

A recent shopping expedition led me to the Tuesday Morning that we have down the street. I have known it was there for quite a long time, and I know I have been in there on a few occasions, but for some reason it has never been a staple on my crazy "I want to shop" trips...until now! On that first recent trip in there I was excited to see that they had a few Groovy Girls items (HERE). I first came upon these dolls a while back when babysitting for a family of girls. I instantly fell in love. Then 2 Christmases ago I found that one of the dolls was named Natalia, and I knew I had to have her. So I went on a shopping frenzy and bought any of the modest clothes they sold that I could get my hands on and a few other things and gave most of them to Natalie that Christmas, (a few items went back into the gift bin and she got them last Christmas) and then they sat in the drawer for 2 years...typical. But, she has pulled them out again and started playing with them, so I was excited to find some super cute and CHEAP stuff at Tuesday Morning...man I am a rambler!

So, anywho, I had to go back this morning to get the one thing I had passed up on my first trip and of course came home with more steals. It is going to be hard not to check in there for Groovy Girl stuff all the time! Too bad most of it goes straight into the closet for a later date, I am trying (emphasis on the trying) not to just give random toys to the kids as I have done in the past. Natalie is getting a bit too old for it, and starts to expect it.

So here are my steals!

I got this outfit for $2!! Sells on Amazon for $15! Sweet!

This is the item I almost passed on. I am so glad I went back to get it, it is HUGE and makes a great house for the dolls. I also paid $3 for it and you can buy it HERE on amazon for $20, and the original price on it was $30. Now that is a steal, 90% off! The best part about it is the quality of the toy, some of the details on it are great, and they make it very easy for Natalie to play with.

I also found her this doll for $5, who I ADORE, and she is for sale on the website (HERE) for $12. Her name is Savanna and she has cowboy boots, and she's modest!

And this doll, Trissa, also for $5, and for some reason she is being sold on Amazon (HERE) for$20! Wow! Steal, steal, steal! (and yes she has an owl on her shirt and a leopard belt, very sassy!)

I love these toys so much because they are hip, cute dolls that will last Nat for a long time. And I always love finding things for Christmas 8 months in advance!

P.S. I didn't buy out their selection either, so if any of your daughters like groovy girls check the Tuesday Morning on North Cooper!

The also sell some stuff at Target but it is WAY more expensive! And when I got Nat all the stuff a few years back I had to buy it from a boutique style toy shop, and of course those prices were embarassing!

Girl, you are such a smart shopper! Way to go, getting all that stuff 1000% off! If I would start shopping for Christmas now instead of 3 days before, I might actually enjoy Christmastime a little more!

Oh, I learned from my Stepmom to shop Christmas all year long! It is so nice b/c then the gifts end up being more thoughtful instead of "what can i find that is cheap" which is what happens to me if I wait till december when we have no money! I have tried both ways, shopping after thanksgiving and shopping all year, and shopping all year is so much better!
