I was robbed!

Someone took $122 out of my bank account. Using my debit card! Oh, wait. No, that was me, paying the locksmith to open my car so I could get my PURSE OUT OF THE TRUNK! (with my cell phone, and my keys, and my just boughten groceries. Thank goodness for kind strangers letting me use their phone! At least I wasn't in the Wal Mart parking lot, that would just be ironic.)

I am such an idiot.

That has got to be some kind of illegal to charge that much.

P.S. Yes, I cried. *sigh* Anyone have an extra 120 bucks they want to give us?

hahahaha ha ha HA

I know of several people who make very lucrative incomes (meaning $100K+ per year) doing nothing but opening locked cars for people (women mostly). Soo, don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Maybe you need one of those wrist thingies or a janitor's key ring on a belt. Bad timing, but we've all done it. Even me. Love. Dad

WHAT the heck, why was it so much??? I've never spent more than $50 for a locksmith!!!

(um, is it sad that I know the going rate for locksmiths so well? I've done this so many times I can't even tell you)

Actually, I was looking into it, and I really think we got scammed. I am going to do some more research tomorrow, and see why the heck it cost SO MUCH. 120 is WAY too much, but when your stranded with no phone, you dont think fast enough to say, FORGET IT, I will call someone else!

Sucks how life changes with a click of a trunk. Ugg.

That's why I got AAA here. It was like $30 a year back in the day which was way cheaper than calling a locksmith when I locked myself out of the car.

Of course after that I doubt that I ever locked my keys in but since they also charged batteries, changed tires, towed me when my car died and all that I've kept up the service.

Major bummer! I've never locked my keys in the car before, is that not something the cops could just help with, for free? I thought I'd heard of that.

I think it's horrible how much they charge. We've been there done that. I'm so sorry. At least the car wasn't running. :)

Urg. That always stinks. I'm always so paranoid that I'm going to lock my keys in the car at the gas station (my mom did it a few times, and so has my sister) with David inside the car!

And $120 is a lot! Technically, if there is a cop in the area, they have the tools to unlock cars. Most mechanic shops can do it, too. Just FYI for the future (hopefully you won't need that, though!). ;o)

Yuck. You might have been better off chunking a rock in your window.
