Teensiest tiny football post

I just wanted to draw everyones attention to the right side of my blog where I am slowly but surely working my way towards the grand prize of the Bowers Bowl. (not that we actually have the money stashed away anymore...we are too poor to have that kind of extra moolah laying around)

I also wanted to see if I am not alone in making this connection:

The Patriots and the Colts both can't go to the Superbowl and we have the same record as the Colts and the only team that has beat us so far was the Patriots...so...we are thinking in the Bowers house that there is a great possibility that we could make it to the Super Bowl if we don't choke in the playoffs...no names mentioned here...

Giggle...just so you know, the women in this family have always been pretty good at those football pools. Your Aunt Ruth rocks at it!

I think you may be on to something here, Shannon! But I tell you what, if that Patriots game is the only game we lose this season then it's way more than ironic that that's the ONE game we watched with you guys! And it will be forever considered bad luck. Which is too bad because we had fun!

Don't you just love Tony Romo, though? "I'm definitely a better person now that I have more money." I'm glad he has such a good sense of humor. :)

We watch a lot more football around here lately, I think bacause I want to see how your team is doing. We also have a little family poll going on now so it encourages us to watch the games and root for our teams.

I loved football pools when I worked. In fact I ran some. I have to admit I did pretty good. Although I am in a pool by myself this year so far I have $65 in it. But, then you see, Christmas is coming along with your birthday Shannon and your Dad's. So it won't be there by the end of the year (including anything else I put in it by then). But it is fun.
