Toot! Toot!

The other night at work somehow the ladies got to talking about one woman's husband who was doing the dishes or some other such chore. I was laughing because they were all so amazed that he was cleaning, and then I thought, wait. Is that not normal? And I came to the conclusion that it must NOT be normal if a whole "office" full of ladies were marveling at the wonder that is a cleaning husband. So, I thought I should do a little tribute to my hard working, house cleaning husband.

Keith has always been one of those guys that was willing to help out, and luckily NOT one of those guys that sits on the couch with his hand tucked in his pants, hollerin' for a (root)beer. But, after kids he really stepped up and has been such a good helpmeet for me. From alternating diaper duty in the middle of the night to taking over the awful chore of carting the laundry (with the promise that as soon as we had a washer and dryer IN OUR HOME I would never make him do another load!) to the laundry room and doing all the switching (on time so no one pulled out our wet underwear and plopped it on top of the dirty washer!) to letting me milk my C section scars he has always done more than he probably should, and I have always let him!

Even now, when he is working, and studying he helps me out. Prime example being...Somehow after Brady was born Keith started doing the dishes more than 50% of the time (and I let him, of course). Well, when we moved in here and learned that our kitchen was roach ridden, and we had to be on top of cleaning the kitchen EVERY NIGHT, it became his chore somehow (and I let it). So, for that last however many months, Keith has been the primary kitchen cleaner (we're talking 98.9% of the time) in this house. I am pretty much in heaven. I have no idea what I am going to do when he graduates, and I am forced to start cleaning my kitchen!

There are other things he does, little things that add up to so much, and I am grateful, so very grateful!
Anywho, this is me tooting his horn, and saying THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart! Thanks for all that you do! Thanks for putting up with me forcing you to make your half of the bed! Thanks for making dinner when I work! Thanks for running to Wal Mart and not Tom Thumb because the medicine is cheaper there, even though it is farther! Thanks for listening to (and following) all my crazy rules and OCD habits and not kicking me in the pants and telling me to shut it! You are the best, I love you forever and ever.

Hi Shannon. Just wanted to thank you for your nice comments on my bag--it's really not hard at all; you should try it if you're interested.

And how awesome is it that you have a husband that helps? I have one too.
