Today I left the kids with a honest to goodness babysitter for the first time. I was a bit hesitant, but I have heard only wonderful things about the girl that came over so I wasn't scared at all about that. It was more a fear of how my kids would be for her. I shouldn't have worried at all, because they had a blast. They did playdoh, played duck duck goose and Mother May I, and made me some cute cards.
When I got home and was making a snack for the monkeys I made a discovery. The following text-versation (in exact form) came quickly after.
S: Ha! That girl did our dishes!
K: What?????!!!!! I will commence the adoption proceedings.
S: She washed the dirty ones...BY HAND!!!
K: Ok kidnapping is much faster
Seriously, where has she been all my life? I hope she doesn't have any big summer plans, haha, because she just made one more satisfied customer.
Oh, and on the way home from dropping her off the kids asked if we could do that again tomorrow.

Monkey Boy

Overall pretty darn cute, considering he was freezing, distracted (by the monies in his pockets), or apparently starving to death (as we found out after). All done by Missy, check her out here if you are in the DFW area. Oh, and there are some normal shots too, but these were too...Brady, not to show you. Can you read his lips? They say "CHEEEEESE"!

Salami
The kids dragged Natalie's chair into their room and Keith went in there to see what they were doing. Natalie was pretending to cut Brady's hair and shave his legs. I had to see for myself of course and when I went in there to see the fun, I found Brady's lips slathered with sparkly lip gloss. The following conversation ensued.
"Natalie, you can't put sparkly lip gloss on Brady. He is a boy."
"But Mom, we are playing Salami."
"Salami?"
"Yes Mom, we are playing Salami store."
P.S. Apparently they were getting Brady dressed up like a girl for Halloween. And so it begins.
P.P.S. Salami is Salon...in case you didn't get it!

Oh brother(s).
When my Dad was here he took Natalie one afternoon so that I could come home and nap with Brady. While he had her, they watched Camp Rock (which yes, she has seen once before), anywho. Camp Rock just happened to be coming on again tonight, so I told her she could watch it.
She then proceeds to tell Keith that the best part of Camp Rock is the Jonas Brothers. Oh. my. goodness. Of course I ask her why and she shyly says, "I don't know" and hides under the covers.
Oh boy. I guess I kinda set myself up for that one.

And for the family, more on the visit soon. I promise full updates on the house hunt and Papa's visit to come this weekend, at least.

Finally!
Here are Keith's graduation announcements. We didn't order enough to go around, and now we are too poor to get more! LOL! Anywho, Keith came up with the idea pretty much on his own, and I think it really shows his type of funny. We were so concerned sending these out if everyone would get that is is supposed to be funny. Luckily most people are getting it!

Sue Strikes Again!
Oh man. Go here and watch this YouTube video. It is hilarious and brilliant, and I would have embedded it here, but I know Sue likes traffic. And I like Sue (and I am obviously crazy because I talk about her like I know her). Which I don't but I wish I did. I have officially crossed over into blog stalkerishness with her, but I also know that if I link to her posts, she often comes to visit me here! Hey Sue!

Feeling a bit better
This is what the kids like to do to me when I am working (over and over and over). It was too funny so I sneakily set up the camera to capture it. I was looking away the whole time, and of course acted surprised.

Two Things
1. Brady ran to me after his bath all wrapped up in his towel and said, "Mom look at this!", and then he threw off his towel. I then proceeded to squeeze the crap out of him. I go a little wild around nekkid baby buns.
2. Natalie was sitting on the couch and said, "Does somebody need a blankie? I do." I taught her how to ask for things in a round about way pretty well, with some minor tweaking she will be a pro.

At this very moment
Brady is jumping on the couch singing "pee the poop, bop poop, poo poop, dada poop, poop, lala poop, baa poop."
And so it has begun. The potty humor. And I admit it is pretty humorous.

Better
Well, the kids are better. At least no weird body fluids today. And now Natalie is walking around singing Super Trouper. I need to get some of these antics on tape.

A new discovery
Natalie has been having a blast talking into my oscillating fan for the last few days. She will sing and sing and sing herself to death listening to her funny voice. I remember doing that as a kid too! And who hasn't seen the classic scene from Tommy Boy...gets me every time! I tried to find the clip on youtube, but no dice. :(

Oh Brother
"Dad if you let me take my clothes off I'll be happy. If you don't I'm going to go to bed forever and ever and ever and not get up."
Um, can I pick option number two?
P.S. Taking her clothes off means getting to run around in her undies to be like Brady who prefers to be in just a diaper when it is hot.

Some sweetness
It has been really windy tonight and the kids get a little scared because of the sound and the idea that a storm is coming. Keith had gotten the kids all settled and in bed and was ready to relax. A few minutes later Natalie comes out and says in a sleepy voice, "Brady is pushing me off of my bed." We are thinking, "what???". So, Keith goes in to check it out and who do we find all nestled and snuggled down in Natalie's covers but a little monkey boy by the name of Brady! He had crawled out of bed and climbed over Natalie (so he could have the inside!) and was just in there snoozing away. When Keith told him to get back in his own bed he could only muster his little "hmmm". I am sorry but that is just funny! Too bad he didn't get a picture! I love that he knew he would probably get busted for coming out to us, so he went to Natalie for comfort, so cute!

Oh really?
"Mom, I am working in a restaurant with my diarrhea."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, I am taking what people want to eat in my diarrhea."
"Ahhh...your Diary?"
"Um, my diarrhea?"
"No, honey, diarrhea is a tummy ache and you have to go potty. That is your princess DIARY."
"Oh, OK, thanks Mom!"

Watchin' TV
This morning while killing time until we had to pick up Natalie I plopped myself down in the sun room to begin working on the quilt square and turned on PBS for Brady. He asked me if he could play couch cushions and I said yes. After a little noise and commotion from the living room it then got very quiet except for the sound of the cartoons. I peeked out there and Brady was resting just like this watching T.V. Of course being his Mom I thought it was the cutest thing ever, so I got some pictures.

After my little photo shoot I went back to sewing and cutting. When it was time to get our shoes on I came out and he had switched to this! He was messing with his hair just chillin' there cool as can be watching the tube. He looked so comfy I wished there was room for two. It is fun to see what kids of things he can do when there is no sister there to take over!

A good laugh
I have been feeling ho hum lately, and tonight I find myself laughing! A lot! And that feels SO good you don't even know. First laugh of the night was too random to explain, second one came from Kelli over HERE, third laugh of the night came from a tech that just called in from Oklahoma and said the "Patient feels like he is suffercatin" (which she quickly corrected and we had a good laugh about her being in OK for too long), and the last (so far) laugh of the night came from a random post on a random blog I found about all her old blind date stories, her stories and the following comments of others are just too funny! For a good laugh check it out HERE.

Update and a funny
I realized this past week that my days have become very routine when I work, not much going on. So that equals not much to post about. The kids and I enjoy various ways of killing the morning by either taking Natalie to school, going to the library, window shopping, etc. Then we come home, eat, nap, and I am off to work.
This weekend my Dad is coming to visit...Yay! And so we should have some great pictures to post, and hopefully the weather will clear up a bit so we can do some fun stuff.
Until then I have a gem of a video that I actually caught on T.V. last night during my late break. I don't normally flip on the tube, but I was getting really frustrated at work and just wanted to find something funny...and boy did I! *warning* this clip has questionable content, but it was on Leno, so nothing R rated. If you watch it and find it distasteful, and you will, don't judge me... but I was rolling around laughing last night, it was exactly what the Dr ordered. I mean it, don't watch if you don't want to possibly be offended...that is my disclaimer right there.
