TV Talk

A few thoughts on some of my current watches. Yes I know I watch too much TV, but in my defense I watch it while I work, or when the kids are napping. In no particular order:

1. Kath & Kim: Are you watching this? It is hilariously awful and so dang funny. I love it.

2. Biggest Loser: Vicki is a psychopath. Seriously. What is WRONG with her, she is PURE E-vil! How glad am I that Amy stuck up for herself tonight! Boo ya!

3. Grey's Anatomy: SOOOO glad they are getting rid of Haun. Seriously that whole story line was gross and disturbing. And yay for Alex and Izzy, it's about dang time!

4. The Ex List: I thought this one was really cute, and I have to say I am sad that it got cancelled. I hate when they do that because I have no closure!

5. Private Practice: I am loving this show. When I have a ton of DVR'd crap to choose from I watch this one first.

6. How I Met Your Mother: Such a good and funny show. I am rarely disappointed.

7. House Hunters: Probably my favorite "housey" show. Natalie and I love to watch this when I am working to get lots of good ideas. I can't WAIT till we can be looking for our own place!

8. Anderson Cooper 360, and all other CNN: I am just addicted to CNN right now! If there is nothing else on late at night, I watch the news. This is totally new for me, but I am loving how much I am learning. I was so in the dark about anything and everything news related before, and I like watching it. I think that means I am getting old!

And I am embarrassed to say there are so many more shows. But these ones are at the top of my likes right now. What shows are you into right now? and what are your thoughts on the ones I listed above?

Anyone know which movie the kids are into watching right now?

The Grand Finale!

So we were waiting...

We chatted and watched people and before you knew it we had been standing out there over an hour. At that point we decided that we had been waiting so long already we HAD to stay and see what all the fuss was about! Then maybe after 2 hours of waiting I think, BAM! Katee and MARK came out the door and like came out to the barricades. Mark whizzed past (of which I have some frantic blurry pics) and Katee disappeared. I was confused, LOL, I still had no idea what was going on until some girls let us know that each dancer was going to come out, sign autographs and take pictures. WHAT?!?! Are you kidding me?! I was as giddy as a school girl, and only Sarah will ever know how excited I was. Seriously. Holy cow! So glad I decided to make a shirt, b/c otherwise I would have had to ruin one of my good shirts. So glad we stinking waited all that time because LOOK, just LOOK what we did!

Gev!! So cute in person, and so so nice! He totally let some little teeny bopper give him her number, of course he wont use it, but how nice NOT to hurt her feelings.
Chelsie is like SO GORGEOUS and nice too! They were all SO NICE. Each and every one of them was as sweet as can be. I loved that.
Jessica, cute as a button.
Courtney. I pretty much wanted to stick her in my purse and take her home with me. She is tiny and adorable, and super duper sweet.
Joshua gave us the best bear hug.
Thayne, Um...yeah. He is too totally cute for words. And he thought we were making fun of him when we asked to get a picture of his serious face (you know the one he does when he is dancing ballroom or something), yeah not making fun, just crushing a teeny bit!
Chelsea was so sweet. And I loved her button dress!
*sigh* I was this close to touching his hair.
Comfort was so cute, so tiny, and so pretty!
Twitch
and last but not least Will. He just was so sweet, and you could tell he was so grateful to the fans.
More gratuitous Mark shots. *sigh* I love his huge smile.

*sigh*
Seriously SO MUCH FUN! I can't believe we got to meet them all (except Kherrington who was possibly sick), and they were all nice and took time to chat and sign EVERYTHING, and it was just wonderful. Thanks Sarah for joining me, and buying the tickets, LOL! Next year we will all go!

And on with the show!

Only about a million billion more pictures to go. Family is just going to have to bear with me, you make it through all these posts and I PROMISE pictures of the kids!

I loved this group dance, they all looked so freaky and dark, and Mark was the ringleader so of course I loved that. He is my number 1.1 (Thayne is 1.2, followed closely by Chelsie Hightower at 1.3 and Courtney at 1.4! LOL, I can't pick just one favorite!) Haha...the DOOR DANCE (do yourself a favor and WATCH THAT DANCE!!)! Looooove it! Katee seriously has the BEST lines. I love watching her feet and legs when she dances. Each dancer had a time to do their own solo. It was fun to see each one in their element. Of course Mark did his Queen dance. So good and crazy and cool!
And sweet, smiling Thayne!
Of course they had to do Bleeding Love. Such a good dance. *sigh*Love this dance! This dance MADE Katee and Joshua! They were so lucky to have it the first week. And I love this part when Joshua stinking ROLLS up backwards to a standing position, blew me away! And then they all came out to bow and they were looking at cute (and people started leaving for some reason) and they gave us one last dance and that was it! More fun Mark shots...And since Sarah and I wanted to squeeze out every last ounce of goodness out of the show, we kinda stuck around while people were milling out. Then we decided to go and take our picture at the stage and we each got one of the dollar bills that they used in the money dance (I didn't take pictures of that one)! How cool! A free souvenir! Then we headed out. Sad to go, but loving what we just saw.
As we were walking out we were talking and wishing that we could go to a meet and greet too! And how did people get those passes! We saw a goodly amount of people crowding along a barricade and we assume (or at least I did) that they were waiting to wave to the bus? I don't know why, but maybe that is the cool thing to do, but anywho, seeing as how we wanted to make every bit count, we decided to wait too. And what were we waiting for?? hahaha, next post!

Welcome!

To So You Think You Can Dance! (um...say that like Cat, mkay?) Ok, so this post will probably take me all night to write because work is so busy, but I can't put it off any longer. To summarize: the show was fantabulous. Now if you want details (or at least as many as I can remember) keep reading...

*Lots and lots and LOTS of pics, seriously TONS, some blurry, some not, but all good! I took over 200 pictures, and it is hard to choose my faves! Oh, and if you haven't seen the show you can ignore this post, I will be posting some pictures of the kids I took Friday at the park as soon as I recover from this one.*

So, lets see, where to begin. Sarah and I got there, got a great parking spot, waited in line for a minimal amount of time, hit the restrooms, grabbed some snackage and headed to our seats. They weren't half bad! The only problem was that all the performers actually entered the stage right were we couldn't see, so that kinda sucked, but we were pretty close. Nokia has a great set up.
So, it didn't take long for the lights to go down and the show began. Nigel was on the big screen and introduced the show, they showed a few clips from auditions, a bit more talking, and then they came out! Woot! They all looked SO stinking cute in their matching red and white outfits! It was so hard to take pictures AND watch the show, plus I was pretty much pushing that dang zoom to the limit. So most of these look better small. But yeah, they were right there!Chelsie! Courtney! Woot!
Then the dancing began! Oh the dancing! Of course they did our favorite dances from the season. So many good dances, it was so exciting to see what they were going to do next. Remember this one? With the assisted run? So wonderful!Love, Love, LOVE this dance! The Garden...love these dancers too! This Adam and Eve dance was one of my all time favorites too, I think Jessica really got a bum deal on the show. I really liked her, and she was so cute and nice in person! Then they, of course, had to have some comic relief and that fell to Gev, poor sweet Gev. Oh man! They had a little segment of the dances from around the world and since the dancers were the announcers for the show they would come out in costumes from that area. Anywho they had Gev all dressed up, and some cute little skits with him professing his love to Courtney. She shooed him off stage in the first costume. The second costume change he kissed her! Woot! and the third costume was HILARIOUS. Oh yeah, did I mention he was wearing girls costumes? Apparently Chelsie couldn't make the quick changes...hehe.

Shuffling off the stage after being shooed. He was so sad.He was claiming to be serious. I mean the guy didn't crack a smile, it was hilarious. AND he kissed Courtney here too! Woot! (though after the show we heard her assuring that they were just best friends.)Then the Russian dance, and Joshua with his high jumps! Wow! Last costume change. Um, he sat down...in the hoop skirt...and they zoomed in, it was pretty funny. Of course it is all a big act, but he did it so sweetly. Then the Viennese waltz with Mark and Courtney, so pretty.
(bored yet?)
Last dance of this little bit was the Bollywood group dance. They all looked great of course, and it was so good! Then intermission. And since this stinkin post has so many pictures, I am thinking this night is going to be a three parter! I hope you liked these ones!

P.S. It took me 4 hours to complete this post! It's hard to blog when you are at work...shhh! Don't tell!
