A Year of Sundays: week 5
Not too many pictures today. The day was spent watching the morning session of conference, while the kids colored and played on our bed. Then we had a nice break, made a yummy lunch of "Asian" chicken salad (mandarin oranges, chicken, celery, mayo, pepper, and crispy noodles) on croissants from Sam's. Yum! Then with the rest of the noodles we made dessert! Then after a minuscule nap, Keith went off to watch the game at the Taylor's and Nat and I watched the game here. Natalie was feeling crappy, so it was fun to lay around and watch the game with her until I had to work! We had a nice evening, just her and I.

Peek-a-boo! There's Natalie!
Yummy! Haystacks!
What a fun lazy Sunday. And to top it off the Cowboys squeaked by with a win too!

Year of Sundays: week 4
Our new favorite meal! Potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and some sort of sausage all cooked together. We make a ton, and then we get to eat it over the next 2 days! yummers!
Natalie's first (and hopefully ONLY) mugshot. She had a rough night.
Brady was WILD today after only having a catnap in the car on the way home from church. He was bouncing off the walls. Toy Story 2 settled him right down.

The obligatory with flash photo, since the energy efficient light bulbs we have give off a seriously yellow light. Very flattering to the skin in person, not so great for photos.
Not that great of pictures today because I am working tonight, but I didn't want to miss a week!

A year of Sundays: week 3
The kids were felling kinda gross this morning (we blame the excursion to Chuck E. Cheese last night) so we nixed church. So we hung around the house. The kids finally sat down to play in my nice clean living room. (I stayed up on Friday night when Keith was camping and I totally CLEANED this apartment!) More messing with the lighting too. Remember that was part of the plan, so some pictures are gonna stink! But I want to learn to work with my crummy lighting!

Spotless Kids room!
I stayed up till 12:30 organizing those bins on the left! They were terribly mixed up!
My pile of things "to do" tonight. Book orders and a grocery list for some early, early morning shopping tomorrow.
I succumbed to the flash...sigh. Brady said, "My peas is good for my baw-dy." I love his sweet baby voice. Oh, and that wall o' tide in the background? Yeah, that was Jason's "thank you" for letting him stay here. That kid seriously spoils us! Thanks Jason!
As I walked away, I said you guys are adorable. Natalie raised her hand and asked, "I'm adorable?" Hehe, yes you.
I really love Sundays. They are calm and relatively peaceful and you just get to spend the day with family whether at church or resting and recouping at home.

A year of Sundays
I am starting to see a theme with me. I like projects, but I rarely finish them when they should be finished, or at least I procrastinate until the very. last. minute. and always seem to pull it off. Somehow. Well, I am starting another project that I can't procrastinate. I am going to start taking a few pictures every Sunday to document our lives. I like this idea for a multitude of reasons. First reason, life changes so drastically sometimes week to week, and other weeks it stays the same. It will be fun to see what little bits of life I capture. The second reason is that I NEED to learn how to take pictures indoors WITHOUT the flash on this camera. I HATE the flash, and I have up until now been too lazy to take pictures (or try and learn to take pictures) the way I WANT to take pictures. So, I figure after awhile I will get embarrassed of posting these blurry weird photos, and I will make myself learn how to make them look good! Now I am not going to take a bunch of artsy fartsy pictures. Just pictures from my every day life, and who knows maybe some weeks will be artsy fartsy, maybe some weeks will be big blobs of blur! I am excited to see if I can keep up with this, and I hope I make at least SOME effort to make the pics look better over time. Whew! What an explanation!
And now, week 1.
Brady with his breakfast of choice for the last week or so (waffles with peanut butter and syrup) and my breakfast of necessity (yogurt and pain pills). Oh, and the church bag all packed and ready to go.
Natalie's new dress (and socks and shoes).
First real season Cowboys game: today! Cowboys vs Browns. 28-10!
Playing nicely. For the moment. Brady finally got to open his new digger toy, bribery for sleeping in HIS bed, and staying there all night, for more than one night at a time.
